If you believe, as we do, in durable, conscientious craftsmanship and natural materials, there’s a lot you can do to help take care of your product. Moreover, leather becomes more attractive with age if you take care of it in the right way.

Take care of your leather accessories in the right way

1. Clean with care

It is a good idea to get into the habit of regularly and carefully wiping down your product with a slightly damp cloth, in order to keep the leather clean. However, if the product has obtained a grease spot then you should avoid using water and instead use a dry cloth and rub gently.

2. Use for natural lubrication

All of our products have a good protective foundation, but the most important thing is that the product gets used regularly. Leather is a living material, which in itself contains natural oils. When a product is used, these oils are released and in this way, the product lubricates itself. This protective foundation and the natural lubrication are sufficient for the product to remain in good shape for a long time.

3. Storage

A leather product that you’re not using regularly will benefit from being stored in a dust bag (or another kind of fabric bag) in a place that is not exposed to direct sunlight. This helps the leather within the product to maintain its natural softness and will prevent it from drying out over time.

4. Weather and wind

Avoid wearing your bag in the pouring rain, but if the heavens do happen to open when you’re out, then don’t worry. If this happens, we recommend that you dry the bag with a dry cloth when you get home, and let it dry fully at room temperature. If the bag has got very wet, then it’s a good idea to stuff it with a towel, or similar, in order for it to keep its optimal shape.
